CIThread stands for Collective Intelligence Threading. The company was founded by Tom Riddle and Mike Matchett on the premise that content to drive meaningful business social media results had to be inexpensive, highly targeted, engaging and producable in volumes that matter.
Tom Riddle, Cofounder and President
Prior to CIThread, Tom founded Horizon Consulting, a successful technology business acceleration consulting practice. Horizon’s clients included on-line B2B technology media, IT management software and semiconductor companies.
Tom was co-founder and VP of Business Development for Trebia Networks (Emulex), Director of US Sales for Silicon Value (Orket) , and Vice President of Business Development for Onaro, (NetApp) acquired for over $275M collectively. Tom has raised over $40M, and was a full time consultant for Cedar Fund, a $175M early stage technology venture capital firm. Earlier in his career, Tom held sales and business development positions at Advanced Micro Devices and VLSI Technology. Tom received his BSEE Degree from Marquette University.
Mike Matchett, Cofounder and CTO
Mike manages the technical architecture, product management, and development bringing almost 20 years of IT systems management experience to creating new online media solutions.
Prior to CIThread, Mike was Director of Product Marketing and Product Management at Akorri Networks (recently acquired by Netapp). Before Akorri, Mike was at BGS Systems where he was the principal “BEST/1” UNIX capacity planning consultant. When BGS was acquired by BMC Software, Mike turned to services management, then product management where he rolled out the highly successful PATROL Perceive products and created BMC's Capacity Planning Managed Services. Before BGS, Mike implemented highly secure IT networking projects for federal agencies as both a network engineer and project team manager. Mike has been a popular speaker at national IT Systems Management and IT Financial Management conferences including SNW, CMG, and ITFMA. Previously Mike had served as a USAF intelligence officer in Desert Shield/Desert Storm. Mike recieved his Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from MIT.
